Fishing Master Skills List: 20 Skills, Cooldowns & Damage

Last checked: October 3, 2026. The numbers in the table come from the community wiki on Fandom, whose skill pages were edited between September 30 and October 2. We compared them against a full skill rundown published on October 2 by the Vietnamese creator Bùm Roblox: 15 multipliers match. Rooster Lays An Egg’s multiplier remains disputed; Tread The Dragon Palace’s hit-count discrepancy is resolved here using the in-game card showing 14 hits. We have not tested anything in game ourselves, so the label for the whole table is Reported. The list is not complete; the gaps are named at the bottom.

The source writes damage as a multiplier, “155x over 10 hits”, and does not say what it multiplies. Sportskeeda’s beginner guide says your rod sets the attack value that skills build on (Reported), which would make the rod the base. Nobody has published the formula.

How do you get skills?

The Skill Master stands on Starter Island. Talking to him opens a roll panel (Reported, Fandom, revised September 28):

• Six rarities exist: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythical.
• Every 50 spins guarantees one Legendary skill.
• Every 500 spins guarantees one Mythical skill. The Skill Master community page describes rarity guarantees, not guaranteed named skills. The 0.5% rate on the roll panel is for the Mythical tier, not a confirmed individual skill rate.
• The price of a spin rises each time and resets on a timer. One creator’s panel showed “Coin price resets in 11:56:43” with a single roll at 920,000 Coins or 9 Robux and ten rolls at 9,425,000 Coins or 99 Robux; another, on his first day, paid 30,000 Coins. The starting price and the rate of increase are not documented.
• The same panel lists the rates: Common 50%, Uncommon 30%, Rare 14%, Legendary 5.5%, Mythical 0.5% (read from a Vietnamese-language client in Dưa Hấu Gaming’s September 29 video, at 8:45).

Sportskeeda says spins are paid in Coins (Reported). Codes are the other route: 1MVISITS hands out five skills, as covered on the codes page.

How many skills can you use at once?

The Zen Staff Rod and Dread Fish Rod panels we have on record show four slots. Slots belong to the rod, and skills fire on Z, X, C and V (Reported, Sportskeeda, September 30). On the fresh rods shown, only the first slot is open; the others are marked “Unlock at Lv. 8”, “Lv. 16” and “Lv. 20”, referring to the rod’s level, not the player’s. This is recorded in Takami_Cat’s Zen Staff footage and Dưa Hấu Gaming’s Dread Fish Rod footage. We have not confirmed the slot count or unlock levels for every rod, including early-game rods.

When you change rods, your skills do not follow automatically. The official description says to detach the skill book from the old rod, then attach it to the new one (Official); it does not describe whether removal can destroy a book. English guides by Radex Tips, at 1:08 and ItzVexo, at 2:08 warn that a removed book is lost for good and that the game warns you first, while recorded Vietnamese gameplay appears to show skills being moved between rods (Disputed). We have not tested this ourselves or reconciled the sources. Read the in-game warning before confirming; we cannot promise a transfer preserves your book.

What is missing from this list?

• About 16 skills. Bùm Roblox opens his rundown by saying the game has 36 skills, and adds that he is not sure of the count. The wiki has 20.
• Five more Legendary skills. The video counts six Legendary skills. Beyond One Hook Supreme it shows Heaven-Lifting Hook, a support skill that adds 250% damage to your next skill, and Supreme Ultimate Technique at 129x. Both names are confirmed by a skill bar visible in another creator’s footage. Three more attacks are given at 120x, 120x and 125x; captions garble their names, so we do not print them.
• Three more Mythical skills. The video counts six: five from the roll panel and one from a quest. The two missing roll skills are given as 140x and 150x. The 140x one sounds like Pure Yang Hooking Art, a name that does appear on that skill bar.
• Taiji Hooking Art V2, 160x. This is the quest skill, shown on the skill bar under that exact name, and the video calls it the highest damage in the game. Three creators describe the same quest on Snow Island: finish 100 fish with Taiji Hooking, hand over a second, unused Taiji Hooking book, and pay 1,000,000 Coins. A different creator shows a skill at 193x over 36 hits and calls that one the strongest, so the top spot is Disputed.
• Epic skills. The rarity exists on the roll panel, yet no Epic skill has a page.
• Perfect True Fishing Art and Rod Gate-Open. Sportskeeda names both as rewards from 1MVISITS. Neither appears on Fandom; the video lists skills at 58x and 44x under names that sound like these.
• Rarity labels. Shadow-Return Hand (69x) and Fish-Beating Staff Technique (63x) are marked Common while sitting well above the other Common skills. The labels may have been filled in loosely.

The game calls a school a “Group” and writes the names with “Arts” at the end, for example Eighteen Fish Slaying Hook Arts.

Common questions

How do you get skills in Fishing Master?

Talk to the Skill Master on Starter Island and spin. The community wiki says every 50 spins guarantees a Legendary skill, every 500 guarantees a Mythical, and each spin costs more than the last. These guarantees cover rarity, not a named skill. The code 1MVISITS also gives five skills.

How many skills can you equip?

The recorded Zen Staff Rod and Dread Fish Rod panels show four slots, used with Z, X, C and V. On fresh rods shown, the extra slots unlock at rod levels 8, 16 and 20, not player levels. We have not confirmed those counts or levels for every rod.

Can you move a skill to a new rod?

The official description says to detach the book from the old rod before attaching it to the new one. Sources disagree on whether removal destroys the book, and we have not tested it ourselves. Read the in-game warning before confirming; a loss-free transfer is not confirmed.
