Crimson Bead Rod (Fishing Master): Quest, Cost and Power

How do you get the Crimson Bead Rod?

1. Unlock Volcanic Island.
2. Own the Legacy Rod. It is the most expensive rod in the Snow Island shop, at 3,000,000 Coins.
3. Talk to the Blind Angler. He sits in a rowing boat beside the dock where you arrive on Volcanic Island. His offer reads: “Catch 100 fish using a Legacy Rod and bring 3,000,000 Coins.”
4. Catch 100 fish with the Legacy Rod. Any fish counts; rarity does not matter.
5. Return with 3,000,000 Coins.

All four creators describe the same two requirements. One of them points out that the 100 catches are just catches, with no Legendary condition.

How strong is it?

Thay Tam Gaming compared the two rods on screen: about 8,000 power on the Snow Island rod and about 11,000 on the Crimson Bead Rod. With the same skill he recorded 49,000 damage per hit on the old rod and 66,000 on the new one, and called it roughly a 30% gain.

Thành Tấn’s panel shows about 11,200 attack damage and 22 luck, and he notes that the Bamboo Rod on the same island is far stronger at 21,150.

Is it worth doing before the Bamboo Rod?

We do not rank rods, but the facts point one way. The quest only needs a rod you already own and Coins. And Thay Tam Gaming states that the Bamboo Rod quest requires this rod first. Another creator describes the two as alternative routes, so that last point is Disputed.

What we do not know yet

• Whether fish caught before you accept the quest count toward the 100.
• The exact attack figure. The panel reads +11.2K with the last digit hidden by the cursor.
• Whether prices changed in the October 2 update.
