How do you get the Dread Fish Rod?

1. Unlock Fossil Island. See the islands table.
2. Catch a Mythical fish there. This is the whole difficulty.
3. Climb to the NPC. The route is a parkour section: up the small trees near the entrance, along the ledge, across the skeleton, then up a dark tree to the peak. One creator suggests equipping a rod or skin that adds movement speed for the jumps.
4. Hand in the fish and 10,000,000 Coins. The quest tracker lists exactly two lines: one Mythical fish caught at Fossil Island (Island 6), and 10,000,000 Coins.

You do not need to accept the quest before you catch the fish. Thay Tam Gaming says you can hold on to a Mythical and turn it in whenever you get up there.

What are the odds of a Mythical fish?

Nobody outside the developers knows. Two creators quote “1 in 10,000”, one of them citing an admin, and one adds it might be 1 in 20,000. Treat it as an unconfirmed figure. What is on record is the time people spent: three days of fishing without one in one case, two days in another.

Each island has a counter that guarantees a Legendary or better after 50 manual catches. Auto fishing does not advance it.

What raises your chance?

Bùm Roblox, who made a video on exactly this, puts it down to the luck stat and lists where luck comes from (Reported, one source):

• your rod;
• your rod skin, with one paid skin at 15 luck and the roll skins topping out at 10;
• your aura, where he names Jackpot as the one with the highest luck and shows 19.62 on his own;
• friends in the same server, 2% each up to 10%;
• the Azure Dragon race, which adds 10 luck;
• the VIP game pass, 10%.

He is clear that this shortens the wait and does not remove it.

How strong is it?

52,890 power against 38,470 on the Zen Staff Rod and 21,150 on the Bamboo Rod. Dưa Hấu Gaming shows a single skill removing more than 5,000,000 health with it.

What we do not know yet

• The true Mythical rate.
• How fast the rod levels. Its panel shows four skill slots, three of them locked until rod level 8, 16 and 20.
• Whether the October 2 update added a stronger rod. Bùm Roblox called this “the strongest rod in this release” on September 25.

Where to go next

The Zen Staff Rod quest on the same island depends on effort instead of a rare catch. To stack luck in the meantime, look at the Azure Dragon race, and hunt boss fish for the Gems that pay for aura rolls.
